  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You normally put a bet ($1 is the normal value) to try to win a side jackpot that could reach $25,000. Though big jackpots like these are very tempting, they are also very difficult to succeed. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, picture this- you wager 20 hands and make the side wager every time. That’s 20 dollars you could have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a wager with greater odds utilizing that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is particularly true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just one. This takes the overall casino advantage from two% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5.26% in American. The one number wager has just a one in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the casino advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that is not a error. Because of the huge amount of numbers you must choose, it isn’t advisable to wager on Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, maybe. But do not waste all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself broke.
